天鹅绒早晨是一部剧情片，弗雷德（斯坦利·图齐 饰）突然回到公寓只为了给年轻漂亮的情妇天鹅绒（爱丽丝·伊芙 饰）一个惊喜，可是事情并没有像他想象的那么顺利。经历了四年的爱情马拉松后，弗雷德声称终于离开了他的妻子，愿意与天鹅绒长相厮守。但是当天鹅绒拒绝时，他又试图旧情复燃。

A return to form for writer/director Neil LaBute (In the Company of Men, Your Friends & Neighbors), Some Velvet Morning is an astutely written portrait of a very modern romance.
