Married to his high school sweetheart miles from his old junior high, Adam Tanner begins to question the small-town life when he meets Sadie, a beautiful and completely out of place young woman whose car has broken down on the side of a lonely road in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Discovering in Sadie an innocent allure and sense of adventure, Adam finds himself torn between the life he has always known and the world beyond the county line.
