上流阶级：富久丸百货店外商部是一部剧情片，具有悠久历史的港口城市神户，一位女性外商的故事悄然上演。供职于富久丸百货神户元町店的鲛岛静绪（竹内结子 饰），是该店外商部唯一一名女性职员。她从最底层干起，依靠不懈的拼搏劲头从合同工转为正式员工，并且被传奇外商代表叶鸟先生（草刈正雄 饰）视作最可能的接班人。可是空前的危机突然到来，公司要求她完成1500万日元的月销售额，否则将面临开除的命运。鲛岛全速奔跑，谁知事倍功半，令她不觉感到灰心丧气。在叶鸟先生的介绍下，她住进某位客户空下的豪宅体验生活，期间还与公子哥出身的同事桝家修平（斋藤工 饰）合租，并渐渐明了到了外商的辛酸和真谛…… 　　本片根据高殿円的同名原作改编。

At the venerable Fukumaru Department Store in Kobe, Samejima Shizuo, who worked her way up from a part-timer, has been through a lot and built a career at the western confectionery department. She became a full-fledged employee following the success of a renewal plan of the store. She is then assigned to the outside sales department to service the top upper class clientele of her company. She soon met her troubles for unable to meet her sales quotas. Slowly and surely becomes a successful sales woman in her department.
