寻找满月是一部剧情,喜剧,动画,奇幻片，十二岁的神山满月（绪方惠美 配音）和外婆相依为命，酷爱唱歌的她却由于喉部的癌症而被外婆严令禁止歌唱。满月和幼年玩伴英知（木村良平 配音）有着约定，为了完成约定，满月向着成为歌手的道路上努力前进。某一日，一个名为“香葱拉面”的组合出现在了满月的满前，他们自称见习死神拓人（斋藤恭央 配音）和由依（本多知惠子 配音），他们告诉满月，她只剩下一年的寿命，而只要拿到她的灵魂，拓人即可成为正式的死神。伤心的满月感动了由依，他们决定帮助满月在死前达成她最后的心愿。 　　由依将满月的外表变成了十六岁的少女，这样她才够资格参加歌唱大赛。没想到，满月以“FULLMOON”的艺名一举获得成功，而在此过程中，拓人对满月的感情也渐渐变得复杂起来。英知的归来让拓人颇受打击，而拓人遗失已久的记忆也将成为威胁到拓人生死存亡的关键。

Twelve-year-old Mitsuki loves to sing and she dreams of becoming a famous singer to fulfill a promise she made to Eichi, a close friend who moved away to American two years previously. Unfortunatly, she suffers from a tumor in her throat which makes singing difficult for her. One day Takuto and Meroko, two shinigami (gods of death), suddenly appear and inform her that she will die in one year. With this in mind, Mitsuki becomes more determined than ever to realize her dreams of becoming a famous singer and to reunite with Eichi. Asking for help, Takuto transforms her into a 16 year old to aid Mitsuki in following her dreams in the one year she has left to live.
